Dog Pneumonia Remedy

Dog Pneumonia Remedy?
Hi, I'm living in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, and there are tons of dogs running wild around the city. My cousins found a three legged (by birth) puppy the other day. We can't take her in, unfortunately, so we built her a little dog house. A few days ago we heard her coughing, and it's a wheezy cough. I suspect it is pneumonia, but I was hoping there is something we can do for her? As far as I know, no one here can take her, and I'm not sure if they have vets here to take her to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

First of all it could be kennel cough which sounds like pneumonia but it could have pneumonia and if you have no antibiotics for dogs then the dog will eventually die. It will need care and vet care right away as the dog can die from other diseases too. With out proper care even humans will die as it takes antibiotics to cure this and with out it, he will die. Try to find a vet somewhere, ask around please.

Other symptoms include: - Frequent cough with mucous secretions - Difficulty breathing - Wheezing or panting - Nasal discharge (not a common symptom) - Fever (in only 50% of cases) - Lethargic Behavior - Loss of appetite - Refusal to drink/dehydration You may notice your dog's lips bulging outward when he breathes. If your dog has symptoms of pneumonia, he needs to see a vet as soon as possible. This site has a dozen vets on staff to help you: http://www.justanswer.com/sip/veterinary?r=ppc|ga|1|Pets|Veterinarian&ofid=103&JPKW=online%20vet&JPDC=S&JPST=&JPAD=5821523403&JPAF=txt&JPCD=20100503&JPRC=1&JPOP=Jesse_SIPtest_SIP&gclid=CODLjsOTlqUCFSZl7AodEiP1NA I hope the dog gets well. It was good of you to make a house for her.

Neo Nazis in Mongolia? In Asia

Neo Nazis in Mongolia? In Asia?
http://ubpost.mongolnews.mn/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2446&Itemid=42 Its a rather long ass article, but if you read it there are a few main points: 1. They dress in Nazi garb 2. They believe they need to make Mongolian blood pure. Foreigners should be driven off, or killed. 3. They view the Chinese, koreans, and vietnamese, as their own Jews because they tend to make more money, live better, and prob look down on the Mongolians. Hate for the Chinese is stronger because China is closer and historically both countries have fought. 4. They don't think the fact that Mongols are targeted for hate crimes by European nazi groups, or the fact that real nazis singled out "mongoloid" prisoners of war during WWII to kill, is contradictory to what they preach. and the real shocker...:while in most countries these groups are MINORITIES, in mongolia, and i quote: "in Mongolia, these right-wing organisations reflect the sentiment of a large percentage of the population" Wow! What is hell is in wrong in this world. I thought I've seen it all!

Almost all Asian countries other than China, Korea, and Japan have their Neo-Nazi style nationalists who wants to get rid of Chinese and American influence on their countries. That's nothing new.

Any advice on second language acquisition for a 4 year old

Any advice on second language acquisition for a 4 year old?
I am a native English speaker and my wife a native Mongolian speaker (we speak each others second language and my wife is learning Korean well). Our son (from my wife's previous relationship) is 4 years old and speaks no English. We now live in Korea and our son will soon be joining us from Mongolia. There are many issues regarding his language learning. We are thinking about at least part-time elementary school. Any thoughts on how should we proceed with his language development (ps. his is very out-goung and is not shy).

Let him learn Korean while out and about, but take him to English speaking HakWon to learn English. He should pick up Korean really really fast so no problem with that.

Live with Mongolian nomads

Live with Mongolian nomads?
I've been interested in Mongolia for years ever since I watched "Cave of the Yellow Dog." Are there any programs that would let a teen spend a summer with a nomadic Mongolian family, assuming I spoke some Mongolian and knew their customs?

I don't think there's such a program!
